It is the age of good times and it is the age of bad times for the real estate industry in West Bengal. Good because the industry is seeing a boom of developers and projects that cater to the diverse needs of the consumers – both financially and feature-wise. Bad, because the credibility of projects and builders, laced with financial woes still plagues the consumer.

With the integration of the mandatory Pan-India RERA accreditation, the credibility question has been answered. However, not to its fullest. In West Bengal, RERA is West Bengal Housing Industry Regulatory Act or WBHIRA.
What further worsens the situation is a lack of a platform or aggregator that allows for an easy facilitation of property hunt on the consumer’s behalf. Owing to the symmetry that builders are forced to abide by on specific platform, there is little scope to stand out.
Consumers too are drowned in page after page of similar looking property listing, which fail to aide their decision-making, despite the filters that these platforms offer.
Brandsum partnered with the Confederation of Real Estate Developer's Associations of India (CREDAI) to create CREDAI Bengal Homes – a one-of-its-kind, digital-first real estate platform that allows builders to enlist their properties in a completely bespoke and personalized format.
Instead of a standard and restrictive format, Brandsum built CREDAI Bengal Homes with a robust interface that allows developers to showcase their properties in multiple ways leading to an omni-channel experience for consumers. Developers also benefit from a personalized dashboard that helps them analyze, modify and better their listing(s) at any point.
The platform offers the ease of placement across the website for a fee, thereby allowing builders a wider visibility among their desired consumer segment.
For consumers, CREDAI Bengal Homes is the go-to portal that enlists only West Bengal RERA certified properties. Consumers can use various filters – types of homes, location, value, builder, among others - that actually aide the property search process.
Brandsum ensured that through CREDAI Bengal Homes, consumers can post their specific requirements, which builders can respond to. Thereby, resulting in a fruitful dialogue between the concerned parties. The agency’s team also integrated an easy-to-use EMI calculator that facilitates otherwise confusing and intimidating financial calculations as well.
Even though the full roll-out of the platform is still underway, the portal is well-received. Witness its marked journey.
