Generating real-time leads for the ICC Annual Plenary Session 2020 with PM as the Chief Guest

Brandsum has worked with ICC over an extended period of time. The pandemic saw the Chamber hosting most of its previously offline seminars and sessions, online. Brandsum partnered with the Chamber and helped them successfully promote and conduct these including one with the Finance Minister of India - Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman.

For its marquee event - the Annual Plenary Session - ICC threw us a curveball.

Brief

The Indian Chamber of Commerce was celebrating its 95th Annual Plenary Session. The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India - Shri Narendra Modi was to share the inaugural address. As this was a by invite only session, the Chamber required Brandsum to drive registrations for it.

Challenge

The agency knew the magnanimity of the event and of the dignitaries who would be in attendance. The time given to drive registrations was only 1 week.

Strategy

A dedicated landing page with all the event details and a necessary lead capture form was created. Every time a user registered for the event, a mail and an SMS was sent to them real-time confirming their registration. A day prior to the event, the link of the webinar was shared by SMS and mail as well to each and every user who registered for the event.

Paid promotions were carried out across platforms. Targeting was done in a way to maximize conversions.

All paid media activities were also complimented with organic social media content.

Execution

Even though the team was working remotely, a unified solution was delivered within the short turnaround time. More so, the team continuously worked with the PMOs office and coordinated with the National Informatics Centre, Government of India to seamlessly broadcast the entire event.

The agency helped the Chamber procure all the necessary subscriptions as well as set-up equipment. With participants being from different locations, the agency ensured that there were no impediments to the entire broadcast. They also segregated the participants into only viewing participants and contributing participants, thus ensuring no glitches.

All of this added resulted in a broadcast level live.

Results:

The platforms that we ran paid media ads on included Facebook, LinkedIn and Columbia Asia Network.

To make the Indian Chamber of Commerce technology-forward and for ease-of-operations the agency had suggested various initiatives. Impressed by our capabilities the Chamber has decided to go ahead with developing WhatsApp Business for them. Creating awareness, driving registrations and answering queries will be conducted with the help of WhatsApp Business for ICC.
